{UAH} The United Kingdom is set to pass a law today

The United Kingdom is set to pass a law today that will ban the manufacturing of diesel and petrol motor vehicles by 2040, reports the BBC.

Many other countries will have banned such vehicles by 2030 in preference for electric vehicles, which are said to be more environment- friendly.

Given that most crude oil goes to powering vehicles, the development has massive ramifications for countries that are hedging their economic development on crude oil, our own Uganda inclusive. The road ends before it begins. We took too long in clearing the bush, now this season has passed before we planted

It means potential investors in the sector will think twice about long term sustainability before making multi billion dollar investments in the sector.

Let's focus our attention on agriculture and tourism and human capital.
